This is twice in a row I've fallen behind on my goal to post 365 days this year, which points to either being too busy or poor time management. I'd like to believe it means I've been too busy, but honestly it is more on the side of time management issues. I have been doing a lot lately, but I need to make sure the discipline of planning my days out returns en force.
Today, I am listening to new-ish music on Spotify while I work on some graphics and I noticed something one might consider interesting. Is it just me, or is the word "Royal" the new "The" for band names? It seems like all the new post-indie (is that a genre yet?) bands are inserting "Royal" somewhere in their nomenclature. One band finds the word so captivating they included it twice. Now, this is not a commentary on whether or not I think they are good musicians, songwriters or bands - just something I noticed about names and patterns. For a while, "Horse(s)" was popular.
So, in application of what I learned today, here is my Royal schedule for the rest of the day:
1. Finish blog post
2. Finish Graphic for [client A] and email it for review
3. Ensure products for [client B] are ordered
4. Read Chapter 17 of Spiritual Leadership
5. Spend time with my wife when she gets home
6. Go to dinner meeting
7. Play HALO, read, and generally relax
8. Go to sleep
