Episode 4

I'm tired, but the good kind of tired. I got to meet with some really great people about A/V solutions, and tonight I was blessed to practice with some other really great people for a night of worship I am involved in tomorrow night. Again, this entry is late because I can't rehearse and blog simultaneously.

It felt good to play and sing again. About a month ago, I experienced a sudden and very acute case of carpal tunnel syndrome and for about three-and-a-half weeks I was unable to play the guitar (or play video games, which I am sure breaks your heart). That experience was both frustrating and motivational. I often think about how blessed I am to have a body that functions properly with all the toes and fingers and arms and legs I am supposed to have. I also try not to take that for granted - especially when doing things I love like playing music. The past month has grown the depths of my gratitude in that area because every time someone asked me about playing or I got the urge to pick up the guitar, I couldn't. Not just because I needed to be careful or because it hurt; I physically could not play. I haven't completely recovered, but I am not going to let that stand in the way of my gratefulness.

To add to the first sentence, I'm the good kind of tired and I'm thankful that I have an amazing God-given life to expend my energy on.
