Five and 6

I've fallen behind a bit over the past couple of days because I was preparing for a three-hour night of worship and prayer which took place last night. Therefore, this post will serve as a "two-fer."

The night of prayer and worship in a word was indescribable. God showed up in a way that only He can, and I believe it was the beginning of a movement among the churches of this area to build relationships with each other and for Christians to build close relationships with God, ultimately spilling out into our communities, cities, state, nation and world.

This afternoon, through the amazing generosity of a close friend, I have an astounding view of the ocean. I just watched as dolphins swam up and down the coastline among pelicans and seagulls floating on water so calm it almost looks like an expansive lake. To think the same God who created all of that (and so much more) wants an intimate relationship with each one of us boggles my mind. There have been times when I've doubted that truth, even doubting that God exists; but all I have to do is look at something as simple as leaves on a tree, a vast ocean, or think about the intricacies of the human body, and I see the loving care He took in everything He created.
